Further Uses of the Dead to the Living (after John Isaacs, 2008)

In my mind’s eye, he confesses.
Makes up for all the strange protrusions.

When vacuuming the chunks of viscera,
When rending the membrane from flesh-
He is next to me.

I placed the meat down,
Then found that I’d cut it into perfect geometrical forms
(After John.)

John passes by, he sees me from across the market floor,
He confesses.

So close to my ear,
In a way that only I may ever understand.
A confession so
Utterly unsaid,
So devoid of Speech- Action,
So romantically and devastatingly inert.

Crystallised in my mind’s eye!
An illuminated lattice,
He confesses!!
Mine!
Criminal!
(Primordial.)

I see all the potential sites,
Over my neck, coppa
Most vulnerable places,
Contested sites of fleshy impasse!

So indivisible like that.

(0) you’re

Wrenched outta time,

Dematerial——–

So chemically altered!
